Attached house in Luxembourg.
Renovation of a typical Luxembourgish row house from 1950 in the city.
The house appeared dark and enclosed. A major renovation was necessary in order to open up the small rooms and brighten up the living areas. It was very important to enlarge the windows and get as much sun light in as possible to give the house a Scandinavian feeling but also carefully choose the artificial light everywhere in the house.
The garden appeared abandoned and neglected. Here outside "rooms" were created to divide the garden into sections which would meet the different needs of a family.
